IT Solutions Support Engineer - Office365, Azure, Servers

£30 - £35k per annum - Newmarket 

Cloudscope are looking for a IT Solutions Support Engineer for a world leading business in life sciences and testing services. You will be joining the business at an exciting time, you will be helping to transform the existing infrastructure organisation, and help with integration with a new ground-up system architecture. With opportunities to work in a number of industry-leading technologies.

Responsibilities

  • Support and administer the business’ applications and systems, including associated business intelligence reporting (BI) and databases, ensuring they are maintained, developed, and retired as required by the business.
  • Provide troubleshooting and resolution for assigned incidents within a timely manner, ensuring incidents are updated in the current IT service management tool.
  • Full project lifecycle management, to effectively deliver all aspects of assigned technology projects, engaging multiple stakeholders.
  • Business analysis. Full requirement analysis. Review current situation and advise on “To Be” situation. Including best practices at other Eurofins businesses.


Candidate

  • Bachelor’s with honours degree in a technical subject, i.e. Computer Science.
  • Demonstrable knowledge and experience of Microsoft SQL Databases, T-SQL querying & ETL
  • Practical knowledge of Azure and/or Microsoft Office 365
  • Sound knowledge of business application troubleshooting techniques, software installations, and working with 3rd party vendors
  • Experience integrating with third party systems via API’s
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Ability to work as part of an ambitious team, self-motivation, adaptability, and a positive attitude
  • Excellent communication (oral and written) and attention to detail
  • Project-oriented
  • Accuracy of work, pays attention to details
  • Good organisational skills and ability to multitask
  • Fluency in English

Working Hours: Monday - Friday 

+         25 days holiday, plus bank holidays, increasing with long service. Other benefits include: quarterly profit-based bonus, personal training & development, company shutdown over Christmas,

Location: Newmarket 

Commute: Suffolk, Norfolk, Essex, Cambridgeshire

Who would suit this role?

This role would suit an experienced IT Support Technician with a good level of technical knowledge around servers and networks who is confident in their ability to set systems up.
