About the Role

1st Line IT Support Technician – Cambridge

Salary: £25,500 – £29,000 Location: Cambridge Sector: IT Managed Service Provider

CloudScope are proud to be partnering with a growing Managed Service Provider in Cambridge to recruit a 1st Line IT Support Technician. This is a fantastic opportunity for someone with strong technical skills, great customer service, and a passion for IT who’s looking to develop within a supportive and friendly team.

What you’ll be doing

You’ll be the first point of contact for clients, providing both remote and on-site support. Expect a varied role where no two days are the same, including:

Troubleshooting PCs, servers, and networks (Win10, Win11, Server 2016–2022) Office 365 management and administration Supporting Macs, PCs, and customer applications (training provided) VPN, connectivity, and Wi-Fi troubleshooting Installing and upgrading PCs and software Active Directory/Entra ID user setup IP phone system administration (web interface) Email and website hosting support (Linux & Windows) Contributing to IT projects and solutions

What you should bring

Solid IT troubleshooting skills (anti-virus, disk space, CPU/memory, connectivity, etc.) Excellent written and verbal communication Confidence when dealing with clients over the phone Customer-first approach with great organisation skills A genuine passion for IT and eagerness to learn Full UK driving licence (occasional on-site visits required) Previous experience in outsourced IT support

Nice to have

2+ years’ experience supporting SMEs within an MSP environment
