About the Role
1st Line Technician | £26,500 – £29,000 | Cambridge Outskirts
Support the Tech, Empower the People.
Most 1st line roles feel like a treadmill—endless tickets with no finish line. This isn't one of them.
We are looking for a 1st Line Technician to join an ambitious, carbon-neutral Managed Service Provider (MSP) on the outskirts of Norwich. This is a role for someone who loves the puzzle of technical troubleshooting but understands that, at the end of every ticket, there is a person who needs a solution.
You won’t just be resetting passwords; you’ll be the front-line hero for SMB networks, working within a structured workflow designed to let you focus on the task at hand and leave work at work when the day is done.
Why this role is different
-
Career Trajectory: This business is built on "real advancement." Whether you have technical or managerial aspirations, there is a clear, structured development plan to get you there.
-
Well-being First: From private health insurance to a "Parental Returners" programme, the focus here is on ensuring you have the mental and physical support to do your best work.
-
A Culture of Recognition: Exceptional performance doesn't go unnoticed. With monthly awards and end-of-year ceremonies, your hard work translates into tangible rewards.
The Practical Benefits
-
Salary: £26.5k – £29k with frequent reviews to keep your pay in line with your progress.
-
Work-Life Balance: 33 days holiday (increasing with service), plus the option to buy or sell leave to suit your lifestyle.
-
Modern Extras: Access to an electric car scheme, comprehensive income protection, and even a confidential life coach.
-
Community & Fun: Join a team that actually enjoys being a team from funded social events and BBQs to "Lunch and Learn" sessions.
What you bring to the table
You’ve spent at least 2 years supporting SMB networks, ideally within an outsourced IT or MSP environment. You’re a pro with Office 365, VPNs, and connectivity troubleshooting, and you’re just as comfortable supporting a Windows Server as you are a remote Mac user.
Because this role involves on-site support, a Full UK Driving Licence is essential. Most importantly, you bring a "customer-first" mindset and the confidence to handle client queries over the phone with ease.
The Next Step
At CloudScope Group, we don’t just fill seats; we open doors. This is an opportunity to join a conscientious company that takes its responsibility to its staff and the environment seriously.
