Service Delivery Consultant

Location: Outskirts of Ipswich - Hybrid: 3 days remote, 2 days office)

Salary: Competitive, dependent on experience

Hours: Full-time

 

Do you want to lead software projects that directly shape customer success? Are you excited by combining technical expertise with hands-on client delivery? This role puts you at the heart of software implementation, owning projects from solution design through to go-live.

You’ll be the key link between client requirements, technical configuration, and delivery teams. Every project you lead has a tangible impact on business outcomes, giving you visibility, responsibility, and influence across the organisation. You’ll work closely with clients, guide cross-functional teams, and shape how software solutions are delivered and adopted.

 

What you’ll be doing

  • Lead pre-sales scoping exercises, translating client needs into Scoping Documents that define solutions and project plans.
  • Own new customer implementations, coordinating internal teams, clients, and third parties to deliver projects on time, on budget, and to specification.
  • Configure platforms, produce end-user documentation, and ensure smooth testing and adoption.
  • Run project meetings, prioritise tasks, manage timelines and costs, and mitigate risks.
  • Support sales with remote demonstrations, helping prospects see the value of the solutions.
  • Occasionally provide first-level support and contribute to improving processes, including introducing AI-driven tools.

 

What you bring

  • Strong SQL skills and experience with Eclipse or similar IDEs
  • Familiarity with Groovy or other scripting languages (Python, Perl)
  • Experience with JRXML/JasperReports or similar reporting tools
  • Writing automated unit tests and understanding software development best practices
  • Confidence working with senior non-technical stakeholders and leading interdisciplinary teams
  • Commercial awareness and the ability to represent the business in project and scope discussions
