Junior Java Developer – Java, Groovy, SQL £35–45k | Suffolk + Remote

Ready to take your first big step as a Java Developer? If you already have programming experience and want to carve out a long-term career in Java, this role puts you side by side with some of East Anglia’s top Java talent. Every day brings variety. You’ll be contributing to bespoke client solutions, working hands-on with a powerful business management platform, and collaborating with clients to deliver tailored, web-based systems. Expect to dive into Java, Groovy, SQL, Eclipse, and more as you build your technical foundation.

CloudScope is working with a growing tech company just outside Ipswich, on the lookout for a Junior Java Developer to join their close-knit team. This is your chance to gain hands-on experience, learn from experienced developers, and develop into a fully-fledged Java professional.

The Candidate

We’re looking for someone who:

Has some programming experience (Java or another object-oriented language) Is eager to learn and develop their skills in a commercial environment Enjoys problem-solving and working collaboratively Is comfortable engaging with clients and technical teams Wants to grow into a well-rounded Java Developer

Tech you’ll be working with:

Java, Groovy, SQL, XML, and web technologies Open-source Java frameworks (great if you’ve dabbled with them!) Bonus: exposure to Linux or MySQL
