About the Role

QA Test Analyst

Salary - £35-40k
Location, Norwich outskirts, Norfolk, hybrid working
Hours, 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday

This is not a role where you inherit someone else’s testing framework. This is a role where you build it.

CloudScope is recruiting on behalf of a long standing, fast growing construction business that is modernising its internal systems and needs a QA Test Analyst to take full ownership of software testing. You will step in as the sole tester, bringing structure, improving quality and establishing a testing function that will support the business long term.

From day one, your work will have visible impact. You will help ensure critical systems are reliable, reduce risk across operational teams and give developers and stakeholders confidence in every release. You will not be one tester among many, you will be the person who defines how testing is done.

This role offers genuine autonomy and influence. You will have the freedom to introduce best practice, implement automation where it adds value and create testing standards that improve efficiency and stability across the organisation.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Taking ownership of all testing activity as the sole QA resource
  • Establishing testing processes, standards and documentation
  • Creating clear and effective test plans and test cases
  • Executing manual and automated testing across internal systems
  • Identifying and managing defects to resolution
  • Producing reports that support confident technical and business decisions
  • Working closely with developers to improve software quality
  • Introducing automation and scalable testing approaches
  • Helping build a sustainable QA function that supports future growth

This is a role where your experience directly shapes outcomes. Your work will improve system performance, reduce operational disruption and help ensure the business can continue to scale with confidence.

To succeed in this contract, you will likely bring:

  • Strong experience working as a QA Test Analyst or Software Tester
  • Experience working independently or as a sole tester
  • Hands on automated testing experience
  • Proven experience writing and managing test cases
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Confidence working with both developers and business stakeholders
  • Experience improving or establishing testing processes

ISQTB certification and experience supporting system transformation projects would be beneficial, but the ability to take ownership and deliver independently is the priority.

This is a hybrid contract role, and they are looking for candidates based locally to Norwich who can attend site when needed while maintaining flexibility.

This is ideal for somebody who wants more than execution, someone who wants ownership, influence and the opportunity to leave a lasting impact.

Apply now or contact CloudScope for a confidential discussion.
