Our Client is a leading global supplier of innovative ERP solutions with over 40 years of experience serving over 600 customers across the UK, Ireland, and Europe.

Job Summary:
The ERP Consultant will report to the Head of Consultancy and is responsible for delivering high-quality implementations and service days across various projects. This role ensures positive customer experiences and referenceable clients throughout all project lifecycle phases, including business analysis, process mapping, system configuration, technical assistance, training, implementation documentation, and post-implementation support. Experience in Finance and HR systems, particularly Payroll, is essential.

Responsibilities:

  • Implement financial and HR modules and associated software on client sites throughout the UK and potentially internationally.
  • Deliver quality training courses tailored to customer needs.
  • Conduct rigorous software testing, documenting and escalating issues appropriately.
  • Create process documentation and user guides.
  • Provide telephone and remote support.
  • Maintain training manuals.
  • Escalate project issues to the project manager, offering technical and management guidance.
  • Collaborate with the implementation team to resolve customer challenges.
  • Pursue relevant certifications, learn new modules and features, and share knowledge with the wider team.
  • Ensure customer expectations are met, consultancy is delivered, and solutions are documented clearly.
  • Assist the support team with questions relating to projects or software.
  • Liaise with specialist services to resolve project issues or offer advice.
  • Maximize revenue opportunities, including sales of additional services, training, or software.
  • Translate customer requirements into specifications.
  • Utilize process mapping tools.

Qualifications, Experience & Skills:

Essential:

  • Knowledge of a tier 2 ERP product.
  • Familiarity with running Payroll applications and processes.
  • Strong business process knowledge.
  • Ability to deliver training and provide product knowledge.
  • Proficient in resolving customer issues.
  • Strong specification translation skills.
  • Competence with process mapping tools.
  • Self-motivated with strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to think laterally under pressure and make independent decisions.
  • Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Focused on delivering customer objectives.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Desirable:

  • Knowledge of Time and Attendance applications.
  • Financial background or experience.
  • SQL Server scripting experience.
  • Data manipulation and report writing skills.
  • Proficiency in VB Scripting/C#, .Net tools, Visual Studio .Net, and XML.
  • Familiarity with Windows Servers and operating systems.
